Application of knowledge about marine microorganisms in various areas, such as human food supplementation, animal feed improvement, and wastewater filtration.

Here you can find more information about the different UMA processes.

Scaling of marine microorganisms

In this unit, microalgae cultures are scaled up from 1-liter flasks to 20-liter bottles, finally to 400 m2 restway-style pools. This process is carefully controlled, maintaining the integrity of these cultures.

Use of microalgal flour for poultry feed production

By combining microalgae flour with laying hen poultry feed, an increase in the concentration of antioxidant pigments, primarily lutein, has been observed, which presents a health benefit for the population, based on microorganisms in the area.
